A Night at The Roxy

Last weekend we did a boujee, unimaginable thing - the complete opposite of camping, actually. And, it was right opposite my old photography studio.

We hired a whole cinema to ourselves...

Never in a million years did we think this opportunity would happen, but a silver lining to Covid 19 has meant that the beautiful Roxy Cinema in Nowra has adapted some of their services to meet the health and safety needs of the public.

Currently, they are offering the opportunity to hire any one of their cinemas for just yourselves, your family and your friends!

Depending on your budget and how many people are attending, you can choose from 4 various sized cinemas with varying hire fees.

You also get to pick your movie!

We decided that since this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and because it was a special surprise for my mum, we went all out and hired the biggest cinema that is also the prettiest.

We love The Roxy for its history; a beautiful theatre and recently restored, The Roxy never fails to deliver on service and style. I'm also a huge, huge fan of the popcorn.

Cinema 1, which is the cinema we chose for our session, is home to two gorgeous statues beside the screen.

It was very decadent to have this massive cinema to ourselves. During Covid, this being the largest cinema can have 41 people, however only had 8 of us.

It truly was an amazing experience, and John was so easy to deal with in preparation of our session.

It's a lot cheaper than you might think, so I strongly recommend that if you get the opportunity to do this then you absolutely, 110% should!

Now, if only this were dog-friendly we could have given it the highest accolade possible of 4 paws up, but since it's not we'll have to settle for a 5 star experience.
